Ingredients: (Makes 1 serving, but can be easily multiplied to serve more.)

  • 4 oz ground beef or bison
  • Butter lettuce or any variety lettuce leaves

    BBQ Sauce:
  • Tomato sauce (pureed tomatoes with salt)
  • Water
  • Apple cider vinegar
  • Spices (garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, chili powder, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper)
  • Stevia (to taste)
  • Liquid smoke (optional, for flavor) 

Directions:

  1. Simmer bbq sauce ingredients until the desired consistency and flavor are achieved.
  2. Cook ground beef until brown in a small frying pan.
  3. Add BBQ sauce and a little water to achieve desired consistency. 
  4. Cook for about 5 minutes. 
  5. Serve sloppy Joe style on lettuce leaves
