Delicious Beef Curry

Beef Curry

This dairy-free beef curry recipe from my AHeathierU app will quickly become a family favourite. Packed full of delicious flavours, high in iron, and guaranteed to add warmth to any lunch or dinner.


  • 4 oz of beef (your preference; suggested: beef round or boneless short ribs)
  • 1/4 an onion, diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cardamom 
  • 1/4 cup of coconut milk
  • 1/2 bell pepper diced
  • 3 mushrooms 
  • 1/2 teaspoon of grated ginger
  • 1/2 clove of garlic 
  • 1/4 cup of basil 
  • Salt to taste 
  • 1 tablespoon of coconut oil to cook


  1. In a pan, cook the beef and onions in the coconut oil on medium hear for about 5 minutes until brown

2. Add the spices, coconut milk, and vegetables 

3. Bring to a boil and simmer until beef is tender (about an hour or less)

4. Add the basil, garlic, ginger and salt and let simmer for an additional 10 minutes
